  • LiDAR operating and processing (specific knowledge in Leica systems).

  • VFX forward cinematographer (drone and camera).

  • Ricoh Theta data capture (360 and HDRI).

  • Aerial and ground based photogrammetry capture and processing.

  • Witness camera and narration.

  • General data acquisition (colour chart/chrome ball/slate).

  • Lens/camera gridding.

By offering this role as a VFX Shooting Assistant employed by the production rather than outsourcing a data wrangler to the visual effects company, Beth enables cohesion across shoots as well as the added expertise of natural history, with additional drone operating and camera operating/assisting if needed. Beth was employed in this role for the Netflix series The Dinosaurs, which was found to be most valuable to the production and workflow between Silverback Films and Industrial Light & Magic.

Importantly, I'm excited by innovation within natural history and environmental storytelling. Visual effects is a brilliant way to captivate our evolving audiences and portray stories otherwise untold!
